State Schedules for SME athletic events:
Baseball – all games to be Hoglund Baseball Stadium on the campus of Kansas University. The Lancers will be taking on Wichita Northwest at 1:30PM on Friday, May 27. Soccer – the girls soccer will be taking on BV Northwest in the quarterfinal round of the state playoffs on Tuesday, May 24 at the SM Soccer Complex Field #2 at 7:00PM. The winner of this matchup will advance to the state tournament on Friday, May 27 and Saturday, May 28. Ticket prices for the game are $7 for adults and $6 for students K-12.
Track and Field – our track and field athletes will be heading to Wichita this weekend to compete at the state track and field championships held at Cessna Stadium on the campus of Wichita State University. The 2010-2011 school year marks the first year that Jeremy Higgins will serve as the Athletic Director at SME. Mr. Higgins has taught and coached at SME for the previous 4 years and looks forward to working with all the student-athletes, coaches, and community members in this new position. In addition to his duties as Athletic Director, Mr. Higgins will also be teaching chemistry at SME. In his free time, Jeremy enjoys playing golf, watching any type of athletic event, and spending time with his wife Ashley and other family and friends.
