Tonight the SME Lancers look to make a little history by winning a share of their first league title in 44 years. The Lancers will have a little extra “spirit” as well tonight, as Shawnee Mission East HS was given the “Spirit Stick” by Channel 5 news. This was the latest of a number of accolades presented to SME and the football team. Earlier in the week the SME football team was named KMBC’s team of the week and yesterday Coach Sherman was named Chiefs KS HS Coach of the Week. Good luck tonight guys, we’ll all be rooting you on!
